Consultant: Development of Cultural Strategy for Scarborough

Consultant: Development of Cultural Strategy for Scarborough

Fixed term contract - November 2020 to July 2021

Total Fee £13,500 (incl. VAT, travel, expenses and delivery costs)

COAST is the Local Cultural Education and Community Partnership for the Borough of Scarborough, which includes the towns of Whitby, Scarborough and Filey. COAST has created a Cultural Strategy Framework document, a high-level document for decision makers, investors and cultural organisations in the borough that sets out the priorities for the next 10 years and identifies 6 key areas of delivery that support these priorities.

Having secured investment from Arts Council England, Scarborough Borough Council and IVE to fund development of this strategy, COAST is seeking consultancy support – from an individual or company - to lead the work, with a focus on establishing, through consultation, detailed action plans and workstreams. At the end of the process the consultant will have created an overview of the cultural landscape of Scarborough Borough, and the opportunities and challenges within it. The final document will demonstrate how culture and creativity can contribute positively to addressing the issues facing Scarborough Borough and will equip the cultural sector with a robust case for support to argue for increased funding and investment.

They're looking for a confident, competent professional, able to lead the COAST consortium in their approach to what will be a crucial document for the future of Scarborough. You will be an expert relationship manager and able to bring both creativity and rigour to the process.
