Nature Inside Paid Intern Opportunity

imprint is looking for an emerging creative/dance artist who has a love of nature and wild spaces, is keen to use their movement experience, and is looking to develop their project management skills. You will join a small and dedicated team delivering an inspiring participatory project with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and a London Primary school.

We’re looking for someone to join us from January to August 2023.

A fee of £2,950 is offered for this role.

Nature Inside is a participatory dance and film project explored and devised with children and young people, two experienced contemporary dancers, an emerging artist (the intern), and is a project with imprint, Great Ormond Street Hospital Arts (GOSH Arts), and Argyle Primary School, Camden. Nature Inside is a commission from GOSH Arts supported with a National Lottery Project Grant from Arts Council England.

Through a series of creative workshops with participants at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), we’ll gather stories and memories of nature, and develop movement ideas together which will inform two dance films, filmed in different wild and natural locations. The content of the films will authentically respond to participants' connections with their wild spaces, interpreting their real and imagined experiences - and their movement vocabulary.

Project Partners:
Great Ormond Street Hospital is a children’s hospital in London; GOSH Arts provides exciting and new creative experiences and performances for children, families and staff at the hospital. This includes patients who are staying in the hospital and those receiving care at home.

imprint is a small independent arts organisation exploring people’s connection with nature through creativity. It’s led by Anne Colvin who is a Dance Artist and Creative Practitioner, and Digital Artist Matthew Bartram. The inspiration for imprint comes from the different ways we connect with our natural and wild environments, the imprints we leave and the memories we take away.

Nature Inside is the second project developed and delivered by imprint, following the success of My Fantastic Place (MFP) in 2021. https://myfantasticplace.com/
