May Half Term Workshops – Art Journalling (ages 6 to 12yrs)

Our Art Journaling workshop day has been designed to give children a flavour of mixed media art where they will get to create art in their very own Pink Pig Sketchbook.

Our friendly tutor will guide each child through a journey of turning a blank sketch book into an amazing work of art using a variety of mediums to include pens, pencils, paint, collage, stencils and recycled materials. Each child will complete at least 5 pages of their journal using a variety of techniques with the idea that they will be excited to continue their art journey once at home or maybe would like to join us again on another course to learn more!

We will also be having fun making some Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s), these are small pieces of art that can be traded for “free”. In our afternoon session we will be using lots of lovely mixed media to embellish and create 9 Artist Trading Cards. Each child will receive a special folder designed to hold 18 ATC’s and there will be an opportunity to swap (trade) designs with all the others in the workshop and of course the workshop tutor!

Additional Information:

This workshop is aimed at children from 6 years to 12 years of age.

The event is being run with a maximum capacity of 15 children and will run from 10am to 3pm.

Tickets are £30 per child (this includes a hot jacket potato lunch with a choice of toppings plus drinks and snacks during the day. You can however send a packed lunch for any child who does not wish to take advantage of the food included in the session).

The session will be held in our downstairs function space but please register your child with us on arrival in the Eastern End of the building.
