Letchworth Micro Theatre Company - Summer Shows

We are thrilled to announce that AMA Theatre Co., a husband-and-wife team, based in Letchworth Garden City, will be participating in the upcoming Fringe Festivals, bringing distinct and engaging shows accessible for everyone. Since building a stage in our front lounge during lockdown, we've expanded our offerings to include a diverse range of shows, plays, educational workshops, and corporate events, with a particular focus on the North Hertfordshire area. As an unfunded team, we take immense pride in bringing a wide array of theatrical experiences to our community.

Here's a snapshot of what we're bringing to the stage this summer:

"The King's Cake" - A Family Mini Panto!
When: Saturday, July 6th at 1:00 PM
Where: Market Theatre, Hitchin

This delightful children's and family show is a "mini panto" packed with live action, puppets, and music. Join Dromeo on his hilarious quest to find the biggest, sweetest cake for the king, encountering elves, a mad wizard, pirates, and even a crocodile along the way! It's a show that will keep audiences of all ages on the edge of their seats.

"The Buccaneers Legend and their Ceili Night" - A Raucous Evening for Adults!
When: The following week (please check our website for specific dates and venues)
Where: Market Theatre, Hitchin

Get ready for a "boisterous, raucous night" aboard Anne Bonny's pirate ship! This unique Ceili night is based on our "The Buccaneers Legend" book trilogy and features familiar Irish music, drinking songs, "daft competitions, and madcap humour." Please note, this is explicitly not a children's show and contains drinking and some mild adult humour. Our album of songs from "Resurrection, The Stage Musical" (the adaptation of our first novel) was also recently released!

"Resurrection" is a captivating and thought-provoking show based on the first novel in our "Buccaneers Trilogy." It tells the extraordinary story of four historical pirates who are inexplicably reborn off the coast of modern-day Scotland in the present day. Initially without their memories, they gradually recall their tumultuous lives before piracy, leading to a profound sense of empathy. Shocked by the devastating wars, populism, greed, and animosity prevalent in contemporary society – issues they find even worse than in their own time – they decide to become a force for good, fighting injustice and giving a voice to the voiceless.
