Being able to weave a basket from willow is very rewarding. Angela Sanders will show you how to work with willow and the techniques needed to create beautiful objects. You will come away with the satisfaction of having made something useful and individual.
The courses are suitable both for beginners and for people with some experience. All courses start at 9.30 am and finish at 4.00 pm. The price includes all tuition, materials, tools and tea/coffee. Cost: £45.00
This course will introduce you to the basics of making a frame basket. This is a traditional method used to make simple baskets and is a technique traditionally favoured by travelling basketmakers who would have used hedgerow material. You will also learn about how willow materials are harvested and prepared for weaving.
