'It's My Body' - Bini Atkinson & 'Dora Dolls' - Beverley Kendall

Two Huddersfield based artists will see their work on show at Mirfield’s Creative Arts Hub gallery space throughout July. Both artists have a passion for textiles and mixed media, but produce very different results through their work. Bini Atkinson will be presenting a series of 2D pieces entitled ‘It’s My Body’, which use abstract form to refer to her experiences of the NHS throughout a recent period of illness; and Beverley Kendall will be showing her ‘Dora Dolls’, which she uses as a vehicle to explore a wide range of stitching techniques and applied detail.

Artists Bini and Beverley have worked alongside each other & collaboratively during the past 10 years, and have exhibited together as complementary artists, & individually, at Cupola Gallery, Open Studios & Lawrence Batley Theatre Huddersfield, Platform Gallery, Blackburn Museum Art Gallery, Brighton Art Gallery, Bircham Gallery, Graves Gallery & the Piece Hall Halifax, amongst others.
