Artist in Residence, Artlink Centre for Community Arts
Residency Outline: During the residency you will follow the square Peg programme and respond directly to the themes of disability and diversity. You will act as an advocate for the project and run a number of creative workshops with the communities involved. Over the course of the project you will produce a body of work which will be exhibited in Artlink’s main gallery in January 2018 for 6 weeks. Working days are to be negotiated. It is expected you would work 2 days per week over 44 weeks.
The fee is based on £150 per day and an additional £2000 will be provided for materials costs.
Key dates: 10/11 April, 12,/13 June, 17/18 July, 11/12 September
Person specification:
-This opportunity has been created for a disabled artist. To apply you must consider yourself disabled.
-You must be a practicing artist in any art form (visual arts, music, dance...)
- You must be able to commit to the key dates in the Artlink building.
-You must be registered self employed and manage your own tax and pension.
