Migration Matters are looking for a Project Manager for their 5 day festival in Sheffield. Details are below:

Location: Theatre Delicatessen, Sheffield

Start date: Monday 23rd April

Total Fee: £2300 for 23 days work, hours flexible.

Interviews: Tuesday 17th & Wednesday 18th April

Migration Matters Festival is a 5-day theatre and arts festival across Sheffield city centre celebrating the positive impact of migration on the city and the UK taking place in the third week of June (19-23rd) during Refugee Week.

Migration Matters Festival is unique in its status as the North’s primary theatre & arts festival focussing on issues of migration and performances/activities that reflect the diversity of its people.

We require a meticulous & disciplined Project Manager to to ensure the festival is hitting its goals and thus providing the service it promises to the people of the city.

Main Purpose
• To oversee and be responsible for a meticulous and risk assessed festival timeline
• To unify the festival host and partner venues under the Migration Matters umbrella
• To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the festival through production meetings, schedules & role accountability
• To ensure the festival is technically sound & personnel effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities:
• To coordinate a venue plan & write up a risk assessment chart with each building manager, and maintain regular communication.
• To create a detailed festival timeline with job deadlines and clarify task accountability.
• To assist the festival director in production meetings by writing and timekeeping the agenda as well as filing a budget report.
• Overseeing the volunteer coordinator & distribution of volunteers across festival sites as well as quality checking for effectiveness and reassigning roles as per festival need.
• Main point of contact and manager of designer & team of design volunteers, working closely with volunteer coordinator & be accountable for design budget
