The Great Get Together 2020 - Town Hall Projection

For the Great Get Together 2020 people across Kirklees shared their hopes, dreams and reflections on #powerofcommunity.

In this video you will see artwork which was projected onto Dewsbury Town Hall over the Great Get Together weekend. It features the work of established artists Graeme Banderia and Ian Berry. Greame's artwork is inspired by Jo and The Great Get Together and Ian’s clapping hands animation has become a symbol of our shared appreciation for those at the frontline of the response to the pandemic. The projection and images gathered from the public will form part of an outdoor exhibition which will be shown across Kirklees as lockdown restrictions are eased.

The artwork was projected and filmed for the year we could not physically come together to celebrate community spirit. Despite this so many people across the country found ways to celebrate community and show we have more in common inspired by Jo Cox.
