Open Call for Freelance Roles: Walk the Plank

Calling all Producers, Production & Project Managers and Technical Crew Members!

Walk the Plank work with a wide range of freelancers and they often work with the same trusted people repeatedly. Whilst there are strengths in this approach, they also know that it means they are sometimes missing out on meeting brilliant new people with their unique talents and experiences. They often have to put teams together swiftly and there isn’t always time or resources to have a recruitment process for each project.

This is why they’re running this open call for producers, production/project managers, and technical crew.

Ideally, you’ll have several years’ experience, perhaps in a theatre, festival, events or educational environments with a focus on making things happen as part of a results-focused team. Computer literacy is advantageous and you’ll thrive on the adrenaline of working on different projects that have differing timescales, budgets and show dates. You’ll also have a full driving license and UK passport as there may be occasions when foreign travel is required.

Please note that they are not advertising for specific roles, but they are expecting that they’ll have a number of opportunities coming up (some short-term, some longer-term) with projects which they’re currently developing for 2021-2022.
