London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay

The London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay will take place from 24 – 29 August 2012. Four separate flames will be lit in London, Greater Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff before they are united to create the Paralympic Flame at Stoke Mandeville.
580 Torchbearers will then work in teams of five to carry the Flame to London during the 24-hour Torch Relay starting on Tuesday 28 August.
Lloyds TSB, Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay, have launched their campaign to find Paralympic Torchbearers. Lloyds TSB is inviting all UK residents to nominate someone who has inspired or supported disabled people in their community to carry the Paralympic Flame. Paralympic Torchbearers can be from all sections of the community and disabled and non-disabled people are invited to take part. Applications close on 22 November 2011.
BT and Sainsbury’s will run their campaigns in the coming months and full details will be announced in due course.
