Museum of Hidden Delights at Dewsbury Market

Museum of Hidden Delights at Dewsbury Market

A Museum of Hidden Delights will be popping up on Dewsbury Market, inviting people to view everyday objects in new and wonderful ways and to contribute creations of their own.

Every Wednesday and Saturday, the stall from Creative Scene will see sculptor Jim Bond, puppet maker Liz Walker and animator Rozi Fuller buying objects from around the market and reimagining them as works of art. They will also be offering workshops for market shoppers to have a go at creating their own exhibits and inviting people to label the artworks with a made-up history of their own.

Museum of Hidden Delights Drop-In Sessions
Every Saturday from 14 March to 18 April (10am - 12pm and 1pm to 3pm)
Saturday 21st March – Ink & Stamp (use objects from the market to make prints and wax rubbings)
Saturday 28th March – Hack & Stick #1 (take toys apart and use the parts to create something completely new)
Saturday 4th April – Hack & Stick #2 (take more toys apart and create more new objects)
