Artist in Residence: Keith Stott

Keith Stott is an experienced artist and tutor, specialising in pastel painting. His workshops at Harbour House have been very popular in recent years, and he has held several successful exhibitions of his own and his students’ work.

This residency in the art gallery at Harbour House offers an unprecedented opportunity for artists and interested members of the public to come and see this master pastel painter at work and to discuss techniques with him.

“I intend to spend my weeks in the Gallery exploring different painting surfaces and under-painting methods. Hopefully, there will be pictures to show as a result, but I am not a fast worker. I shall be happy, at any time, to pass on any knowledge or “tips and wrinkles” accrued over the years and to demonstrate methods and problem-solving.”

Rather than allocating specific times, Keith invites pastel painters to bring works in for critique at any time.
