Christian Marclay: Ephemera I

British experimental improviser and musical polymath Steve Beresford performs one of two interpretations of Christian Marclay’s Ephemera. For this graphic score published in 2009, Marclay amassed an eclectic collection of newspaper advertisements, magazine illustrations, restaurant menus, candy wrappers, and other disposable printed matter decorated with musical notations and which were reproduced as 28 unbound prints. Beresford’s version of this visually provocative piece is prepared for organ.
