The story of a young cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, who sees an opportunity to change her future prospects by paying for elocution lessons when she meets dialect coach, Professor Higgins, outside Covent Garden Theatre. Intrigued by her ambition Higgins bets his friend, Colonel Pickering, that he can turn this ‘heartless guttersnipe’ into a lady in six months.
