Hi3 Network Innovation

Hi3 Network will provide free access to state of the art production studios and a secure high-speed cloud-based network for SMEs and researchers across the SE of England working in film, television, esports, gaming, fashion, tourism, marketing and communications.

Any creative businesses interested in exploring new technologies associated with the moving image and immersive media can be supported to create new products, services and experiences working with researchers and industry experts.

Hi3 Network will also enable SMEs to collaborate globally with creative industry firms in Toronto, Los Angeles, and beyond to explore creative and commercial possibilities.

Three purpose-built hubs will launch in Summer 2021. They will provide free studio space, editing and co-working facilities and are located at;

• Screen South at digital:glassworks Folkestone
• Maidstone Studios
• Canterbury Christ Church University.

24 Innovation Vouchers can also be won as part of an ongoing programme of events. These vouchers give longer-term access to the network’s studio spaces and researchers. They are non-monetary awards.

Hi3 Network is led by London South Bank University in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University, Creative Folkestone, Maidstone Studios and Screen South. It is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (£6.1m) and the programme will run until June 2023.
