Job title: Holme Valley Sharing Memories - Arts Trainee

Traineeship period: February 2015-February 2016

Responsible for working alongside two core artists, visiting artists and project manager to support participants in a range of arts projects, and assist with planning, delivery and evaluation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist two core artists in delivering a range of arts projects for older people, young people (some with special needs) and adults recovering from mental health problems
• Help with the planning of sessions/gathering of materials/setting up and clearing away of weekly art sessions.
• Attend and contribute to planning meetings for future projects/funding bids.
• Meet and greet group members on arrival and ensure their safe return to taxis at the end of sessions.

Days/Hours of work: 7.5 (maximum) per week (40 days in total over a 12 month period)
- To include Thursday afternoons 1pm-4pm (during term time only) and other hours as required/agreed - based mainly at Hope Bank Works in Honley and other venues occasionally

Rate of pay: £50 per week plus relevant expenses
