Aladdin: Pantomime

Aladdin: Pantomime

Pantomime is alive and well in Totnes with rehearsals underway for the TAODS production of Aladdin and his Magic Lamp.
The story opens on a certain Arabian night in North Africa where we met for the very first time the very wicked magician Abanazer. Fast forward to old Peking where we are introduced to Widow Twankee and her son Aladdin and her right hand man Wishee Washee. During the course of their adventures they encounter two bumbling Chinese policemen Charlie Chan and his number one son Chin Chin Chan, a panda called Kung-Foo, the beautiful princess Jasmine and of course the wicked Abanazer and the Genie of the Lamp.
With the help of a few other characters, lots of singing and dancing and the essential participation of the audience the story reaches its conclusion.
Will Aladdin get his princess?
Will the magic carpet get them to their destination safely?
Will you get a ticket to see the show?

Aladdin and his Magical Lantern will be performed at Totnes Civic Hall from Tuesday 21 to Saturday 25 January 2014 daily at 7.30pm Saturday matinee 2.30pm.
