Watford and Hemel Hempstead Libraries Artists in Residence

Kate Dean and Paula Watkins are the newest Artists in Residence as part of the My Story project offered in Hertfordshire Libraries. They are hosting a wide variety of drop ins and workshops in Watford and Hemel to give local residents an opportunity to experience art and culture in their library. All times and dates can be found below:

Monday 26 February, 1-4pm, Watford Library - A closed session working with Watford Library sewing club creating journals to tell their own stories.

Wednesday 21 February, 10am-12pm, Watford Library - Make your own stencil and print with it at this fun family drop-in event, suitable for all ages.

Tuesday 5 March, 11am-12.30pm, Watford Library - Delivering an interactive closed session for service users of Watford Mencap

Thursday 7 March, 6.30-8.30pm, Watford Library - Make a little book of calm with Kate and Paula. Join us after school or work to relax by telling stories with watercolours, fineliners and hand embroidery. Saturday 9 March, 10am-12pm, Hemel Hempstead Library - Join our Artists in Residence for an exciting launch at Hemel Hempstead Library. Make your own spring journals to tell your own story. Enjoy hand stitching, printing and collage techniques for all ages and abilities.

Monday 11 March, 1-4pm, Watford Library - A closed session where Watford Library sewing club will be developing and embellishing their story journals.

Thursday 14 March, 3.30-5.30pm, Hemel Hempstead Library - Make your own stencil and print with it at this fun family drop-in event, suitable for all ages.

Saturday 16 March, 11am-3pm, Watford Library - Learn techniques taught during this residency at this all day drop-in. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

Saturday 23 March, 11am-3pm, Hemel Hempstead Library - Explore our CreatorSpace technology like the digital cutter, the digital embroidery machine and more.
