Wednesdays at Phoenix : Art Words
This month at Art Words, artist and writer Colin Hambrook will read prose and poetry from Fools' Gold: Notes from the End of Time alongside a projection of illustrations that accompany the texts.
Colin Hambrook is a Survivor artist, arts facilitator, and editor of Disability Art Online. He is author of two illustrated poetry collections: 100 Houses (DaDaSouth, 2011) and Knitting Time (Waterloo Press, 2013). He is currently working on Fools' Gold a performance piece and research project reflecting on the history of Psychiatry and the representation of mental illness within the visual arts and literature.
The evening will be hosted by Peter Faulkner Murphy.
