Born in Brixham, Devon and studied at Newton Abbot, Dartington and Crewe & Alsager Colleges of Art and with her father, Harold Bowyer. Landscape, still life paintings and portraits, both human and animal, are Ruth's work. She finds the ever changing aspects of light, reflection and colour in still life subjects absorbing. The landscapes are all done out of doors with the intention of capturing the particular light and colours at the time. Commissions for portraits accepted.
