Somewhere 2 Sing prepares for 10th Anniversary year

Starting in 2016, in a small corner of the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage, chairs had been set, the piano was in place and a pen was poised over an empty register, awaiting the first local through the door, who'd nervously be coming in for their first taster session. That term, the choir had 9 members on their books but the Somewhere 2 Sing choir was born.

Classes soon popped up in Hertford, Hitchin and Bishop's Stortford, then fast-forward 9 years and the choir is about to launch 5 new groups to add to the existing 13 classes across the region with over 900 members now attending weekly. Boasting performances in Disneyland Paris, Cardiff, Brighton, Abbey Road Studios, Covent Garden, on EastEnders and for Disney, this group of total amateur singers certainly know how to thrive and enjoy themselves.

With a huge programme of iconic events in 2026, with amazing trips, a concert at the likes of St Albans Cathedral and loads more which is currently top secret (!) it promises to be quite a year.
