huddersfield groups set to star at the 'Irish' parade.

Locals refer to it as the 'Irish' procession but this year it's Huddersfield's very own stars who will feature prominently at the town's Saint Patrick's Day Parade. Of course the best of pipers, drummers, trad and ceilidh from Erin's Isle will feature when the event rolls into town on Sunday March 13th at 1pm, but thanks to support from the Government of Ireland and Kirklees Council, these popular outfits will be flanked by elite artistes from our own community. Vital Statistix rock covers band, Frumptarn Guggenband, Slick Stick Sambastic, Silver Stars Majorettes, The Giants Cheerleaders, Fidget Feet Street dancers, compere, disco divas, Terry the Terrier and even an outing for the vintage David Brown Tractor (with workers) will all be on show, highlighting a festival of fun with lots for everyone to enjoy. So whether it's fiddles and bodhrans or pageantry and celebration why not make it a date and join thousands more in the 'Irish' and 'Huddersfield' parade.
