STUDIOS FOR ARTISTS

The Wakefield Studios are four studios , in Totnes Devon, dedicated to artists.
They are owned and run by The Wakefield Trust and their brief is a maximum two-year tenancy, with first priority given to young artists at the beginning of their careers. If this isn't fulfilled the second priority goes to perhaps older artists returning to their art, or those for whom a two year studio tenancy would provide a boost to their career and/or their art practice.

The studios consist of two larger and two smaller. The smallest studio is on the upper floor and is intended for use by a maker, ( such as a jeweller) rather than someone who needs large space for sculpture or painting.

These studios are competitively priced, and the trust offers a certain amount of day to day support.
