INTERWOVEN - Gini's Dorset Button's Workshop
Learn with Gini how to make a traditional Cartwheel Dorset Button.
This 400 year old craft is the original way that buttons were sustainably made by hand, with natural materials. Using local shoddy wool and recycled wooden rings you can make a beautiful button, brooch or wall hanging to take home. Hear about how they were invented, how they influenced our buttons today and how they were lost to history.
Gini is the owner of Gini’s Dorset Buttons and winner of Channel 4 programme Kirsty’s Handmade Christmas.
This workshop is FREE, but you do need to BOOK.
From 12pm - 2pm
Suitable for anyone over 7. All under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
