FREE Artists Talk - Liadin Cooke

FREE Artists Talk - Liadin Cooke

Join Liadin Cooke for a FREE Artist's talk. Liadin Cooke's work comes out of a curiosity for the world around her and an interest in the emotional and historical significance of sites and objects.

"For some time now I have been working around the idea of boundaries and walls. This new work uses balance, light and colour that indirectly refer to the Antonine Wall in the central belt of Scotland, a structure that no longer exists except as a hint within the landscape. Built from clay and turf it has subsided into the site.

Based on drawings that I have been making in the studio, the plaster and leather structure is an edge or possibly a boundary."

The exhibition and events exist thanks to the 'Grant for the Arts' Lottery & public funding awarded to our WYPW Artists by Arts Council England.

Wednesday, 4 May 2016 from 18:30 to 20:30
